What's specific about KTM keys.
KTM uses transponder-based immobilizers on most street-legal models — Duke, RC, Adventure, Super Duke. EXC enduro and SX motocross competition bikes typically use mechanical ignition only (no immobilizer) for off-road simplicity. Modern Adventure 1290 and Super Duke 1290 R use KTM's current transponder platform with race-derived ECU integration. We program every KTM street model on-site.
KTM models we service most.
Coverage typically extends across the full KTM lineup. If your model isn't listed, call us — we likely cover it.
KTM motorcycle key pricing.
Mechanical / regular keys are flat-rate. Programmed keys (transponder, smart key, push-to-start) and all-keys-lost vary too much by year, model, and immobilizer system to publish a fixed range — quoted by phone before dispatch.
Whatever we quote on the phone is what you pay on arrival — key blank, cutting, on-site programming, dispatch all included. For the full motorcycle-services overview see the /motorcycle-keys parent page.
Common KTM questions.
Do KTM EXC and SX have immobilizers?
No — EXC enduro and SX motocross competition bikes use mechanical ignition only. $185–$250 flat-rate to cut on-site. Street-legal Duke, RC, and Adventure models use transponder immobilizers.
Can you do a Super Duke 1290 R key on-site?
Yes — Super Duke uses KTM's current transponder system. Programmed on-site, typical 45–75 minutes.
Adventure 1290 lost-key — towing needed?
No — we program new keys on-site for Adventure 1290 without towing. Need year, VIN, and ownership documentation.
What about Duke 390 (the small naked bike)?
Duke 390 uses standard KTM transponder. Programmed on-site. Common service call across our markets.
